Meet the FOUNDER
As a 500-hour registered yoga teacher, Shelby-Tate has been teaching yoga internationally since 2014. After graduating early from college, she moved to Cabo San Lucas learning Spanish, working in sales, and honing her yoga and meditation practice. After spending time in India furthering her yogic education, she settled into a yoga stewardess position on a private yacht.
In her second year of graduate school for mental health counseling specializing in holistic studies at Lesley University, she began The Sunshine Practice to help women heal emotionally and work toward their chosen goal.

She has traveled to 38 countries, in various capacities of study, work and recreation. Completing further yoga training in Indonesia and meditation training in Argentina. A large portion of The Sunshine Practice community are from various places, and we find international human rights advocacy incredibly important.
As a survivor of childhood sex abuse, as well as physical and emotional abuse, she speaks openly about sex, relationships and navigating boundaries. This sex positive outlook is allowing victims to take back the power and is rooted in trauma work through school.
